Are you looking to work as a sports massage therapist?

Then is the ideal first course introducing you to sports massage and injury management. It has been designed to provide you with the requisite knowledge, understanding and skills to work in an unsupervised capacity with non-pathological (non-injured) tissue with the general public and athletes.

What practical skills will you learn?

Through this qualification you will develop the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to competently apply sport massage methods to dysfunctional tissue and in a pre, post, intra/inter and maintenance massage context.

What entry requirements do you need?

You require a body massage qualification to start this course and  you must have a good general education as this is a demanding course. You must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently.

How will you learn?

Written and practical homework is an important part of achieving your qualification and you will be required to work at home as well as with us.

You will be expected to complete six case studies of five treatments each (30 treatments) so make sure you tell your family and friends you will need models. You are also required to complete three workbooks.

This course is designed for you to work at your own pace. From enrollment, you have one year to complete the course.  You will be required to complete evidence workbooks, assessments and case studies as well as your face to face training.

Where could this qualification take you?

On completion of the course, you may wish to go directly into industry or progress onto our Level 4 Sports Massage Therapy where you will be taught more advanced techniques and gain further knowledge and practice in industry. In addition to the course's theory and practical modules, you will be required to attend various sports activities/races/marathons for additional practical log hours.
