Thermal Auricular Candling - Hopi Ear Candling

You can learn a completely natural therapy and has come to the western world from the native American Hopi Indians of northern Arizona

This now popular therapy is known for its physical benefits in treating ear and sinus problems as well as other conditions.
The candle itself is made from natural ingredients – usually 100% beeswax, but sometimes with the addition of natural herbs or essential oils.
The procedure is comfortable and soothing. Recipients of the treatment often fall asleep, and it has a relaxing, calming effect on the whole body.
The candles work on a ‘chimney’ principle, drawing up impurities from within the ear. The rising air also has the effect of giving the ear drum a gentle, but pleasant massage which, in turn, helps to regulate pressure.

What practical skills will you learn?

In order to administer this treatment safely, you will be shown how to gently insert the candle into the entrance to the ear canal, light it following safety guidance and support the lit candle in the ear to achieve a chimney-like action. You will also become competent in preparing your room, equipment and client ready for their treatment.
